My wife was raised on an orchard and the hard work of that lifestyle accounts for some of her iron will.
I rearranged that Substack to list our lessons from our housefire to the top as they will benefit the most people who have lost their homes.
The interesting thing about the 2018 Malibu fire that saw 1,000 houses burn down that I moved to the middle of he Substack is that nothing changed, sadly, in CA and now an even greater disaster has struck innocent people.
Poetry is therapeutic. That poem, "It Was Nothing" helped me process our family fire years latter.
As well, it will take the families who have just gone through the CA fires years to recover and process what they just went through.
Please share the link with others you believe will benefit from reading it, especially those in Southern CA.
They are cleaning the population of North Carolina off their land and now they are doing same to California.
This is the way communist revolutions began in the Soviet Union. Clearing people off their own land, either displacing them, starving them to death or killing them outright.
Bet you as in North Carolina, the government is going to deliberately make it impossible to return to your own property and rebuild.
