So, am I correct in believing that you are a member of “TACDA”? If so, how can we get the Federal, State, and Local Governments to understand and develop a proper “Civil Defense” program? Perhaps even funnel some funds into this project?
Also, as part of our ongoing effort to educate American leaders to make civil defense a priority, here is the second page of our latest issue of the Issue 1 2025 Journal of Civil Defense titled "America's Next War: Cyberspace."
Together We Are Stronger. Let Your Voice Be Heard!
Contact your elected officials! Tell them your emphatic desire to have an official
Civil Defense Program for our citizens, no matter the cost.
Our United States government currently:
• Has NO Department of Civil Defense
• Does NOT educate our children about the effects of nuclear weapons
• Has NO fallout shelters for the general public
• Has NO directives on how to build hardened fallout shelters
• Has NO information for post-war survival
• Has NO government directed warning systems, sirens, evacuation plans, or
general preparations for nuclear attack available for the general public
Here are three easy ways to find and contact your Senators:
I am actually the volunteer vice president of TACDA.
If you visit our website, you will discover hundreds of articles we've written over the past 60 years advocating for an American civil defense program.
I spent months uploading decades of paper copies of the Journal of Civil Defense so you can read them online now.
For all of its 60 years, TACDA has presented the case for how critical a civil defense program as robust as the Swiss program is necessary if our children and grand children are to have a future.
Or, you can download and read any of our issues of the Journal of Civil Defense and read about our civil defense programs, policies, plans, strategies, and educational materials.
I have personally advocated for a Swiss-level civil defense program in the U.S. to the prior Trump administration and the current one.
As for the state and county level, I am a big believer in subsidiarity. I would like the emergency operation centers in the 3,144 counties in the U.S. to have robust civil defense programs and the FEDS to merely assist them, if needed.
Why not join TACDA and learn a more thorough answer to your question?
I will be hosting the next monthly Zoom call on "Cybersecurity is Everyone's Business."
Full disclosure I joined TACDA a couple of years back. Thoroughly enjoy The Journal of Civil Defense. I would like to be more involved with TACDA, but I’m unsure what I have to offer.

Time to rejoin and get others to join.
Why would I need to rejoin? I’m still a member as far as I know?
No need. My mistake. I thought you said you belonged years ago. Do you attend the monthly Zoom calls?
No sir, I’ve wanted to just forget when they are. I’ll try to this month, or next when is it?
I’m a free member.
