The Voice of God

Some say

They have never heard

The voice of God speak to them,

But I have.

For I have heard a baby say:

“Aie…aie…aie…”

And “Da…da…da”

And heard clearly

The Voice of God.

And I have heard a 7-year old say:

“Poppy, why do you pray?

And heard clearly

The Voice of God.

And I have heard my wife say:

“You have to trust me, Bruce!”

And heard clearly

The Voice of God.

And I have heard blue birds

Trill sweet and melodious

And heard clearly

The Voice of God.

So, listen for the Voice of God.

He is always talking to us

If we but listen.
