The Mariel Boatlift as a Template of the Current Illegal Alien Invasion

History, Lessons, and Repelling Invasions

The Mariel Boatlift was a mass illegal alien invasion from Cuba to the United States that occurred between April 15 and October 31, 1980. During this period, approximately 125,000 Cubans left the island from the port of Mariel and headed to the United States. Among those 125,000 Mariel Boatlift Cubans were the Marielitos who were previously living in jails and mental health facilities in Cuba.

Fast forward to the first day executive orders of the Biden Administration in January, 2020 removing security from America’s borders. Since that disastrous, illegal, immoral, unconstitutional, and bizarre policy decision, many millions of illegal aliens have been invading the United States.

The Marial Boatlife Marielitos are a good template to analyze and understand what we have and are about to go through.

My cousin was a homicide detective in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for 48 years. During the 1980’s, he arrested large numbers of Marieltos for murder. Because they committed murders in Florida before they arrived in Philadelphia, he had to transport and testify against those murderers in Florida when he returned them there to face additional charges.

As then, there were massive negative impacts of the Marial Boatlift that offer lessons for what is in store for the U.S. soon. This is why I believe the Marial Boatlift catastrophe offers a template for the current illegal alien invasion.

According to the U.S. Justice Department’s report from 1991 Mariel Cuban Problem, NCJ Number 142919 “The Mariel refugees different from previous Cuban immigrants in that they lacked political and financial support and included a small percentage of ex-prisoners and persons with psychiatric histories. They were initially a group of mainly working-class people who entered the compound at the Peruvian embassy in Havana following the Cuban government's public announcement that it was withdrawing its military guard after an incident involving a small group of Cubans seeking political asylum. The Cuban government incorrectly stated that these refugees were social misfits and offered Cuban-Americans an opportunity to come to Cuba to pick up their relatives. Some of the Cuban- Americans were forced to take prisoners or physically or mentally ill persons in their boats. Thus, contrary to formal diplomatic procedure, the individuals leaving Cuba from Mariel, a small port city, had not been interviewed by United States State Department personnel prior to their departure. From 1.5 to 4 percent of the total of the more than 124,000 Mariel Cubans are estimated to have been criminals. The Federal Government chose to detain the deportable Mariels and eventually consolidated them into two Federal prisons. In New York State, the Mariels accounted for almost two-thirds of the Cuban-born inmates under the custody of the Department of Correctional Services on December 31, 1990.”

Now, we have a metric of “from 1.5 to 4 percent of the total of the more than 124,000 Marial Cubans are estimated to have been criminals” from the official federal government report of the criminal impact of the Mariel Boatlift.

Criminal and mental populations of from 1.5 to 4 percent of 124,000 Mariel Cubans meant approximately 2,000 to 8,000 additional criminals and mental patients were added to the American population in 1980.

But the impacts continued for years after 1980. For example, the Mariel criminals who were caught by law enforcement and put in prisons eventually rioted and burned down two prisons in 1987 when they were informed they were going to be repatriated to Cuba.

“When the inmates at Oakdale and Atlanta were informed of the repatriation agreement, tensions rose. On November 21, 1987, in direct response to the announcement of the repatriation agreement, more than 1,000 Cubans took control of the Federal Detention Center at Oakdale. Efforts to negotiate with the detainees on November 22 failed to produce any results. On November 23, approximately 1,400 Cubans took over the Federal Penitentiary in Atlanta. After several days of negotiations with the detainees at Oakdale and Atlanta (who had virtually destroyed both facilities), the crisis was resolved without any deaths. On November 29, the Oakdale detainees ended their siege, and on December 3, the Atlanta detainees also ended their siege. The product of the negotiations with the detainees was an eight point agreement that promised to delay deportation and immigration hearings. In essence, the extreme reaction of the detainees not only bought some time, it secured a more thorough and expeditious review of their cases. P. 8

As a result of the Federal Government's handling of the Mariel Exodus, the states felt that they were unfairly being required to accept the financial burden of incarcerating Mariel criminals who were a federal responsibility in the first place. The states argued that if the U.S. Government had properly screened the Mariel immigrants from the beginning of the migration, then the criminal sub-group would not have been released to American communities and would have remained under federal jurisdiction. Since the Federal Government failed to prevent the release of dangerous individuals into the communities, the states should receive federal reimbursement for housing convicted Mariel criminals in the states' prison systems.” P. 9

In 1980, we actually processed the Mariels and gathered information on them that enabled my homicide detective cousin to track down the Mariel murderers who ended up in Philadelphia. But today, unlike the Mariels, millions of illegal aliens have entered the U.S. since January 2020 with no papers, no tracking, no identification, no data in law enforcement, state, federal, or local data bases. Therefore, the murderers among them will be difficult to find, identify, prosecute, and send to prison.

The Mariels murdered many Americans in Philadelphia and other places before my cousin was able to track them down, arrest them, testify against them, and get them into maximum security prisons. Consider they were mere thousands in contrast to today’s multi-millions entering the U.S.

But Wait…There’s More

Incredibly, this illegal alien invasion was done on purpose. We will reverse it, but many Americans will die before this catastrophic treason is revealed, reversed, and resolved. Until then, you must take measures to guarantee the security of you, your family, and your local community.

Recently, FBI Director Christopher Wray invited hundreds of sheriff’s from all over the U.S. to brief them in Washington, D.C. to warn them about probable terrorist attacks on Americans due to terrorists from all over the world living next to us who are bringing crime to our communities and threatening our very lives.

Sheriff Jones was told by Wray that the FBI has received information from intelligence services from all over the world that terrorists with bad intentions have plans to hit Americans in 2024. Who knows how many. As with the Mariel’s, criminals, terrorists, and mental patients are here from over 100 countries. And our billion dollar agencies with tens of thousands of professionals charged with preventing that catastrophe have been whistling past the graveyard.

For the past 3 1/2 years, rather than tracking, arresting, and deporting the terrorists hiding among the illegal aliens in the invasion, the FBI has instead been prosecuting peaceful J6 protestors, pro-lifers, moms at school board meetings, Christians, and other productive, tax paying, hard working average Americans.

The most shocking part of the Wray brief is when he told the sheriff the FBI can do nothing to stop the attacks. For the billions and billions they receive from the American taxpayer to stop the attacks, he states they cannot do so. So, you are on your own. Plan accordingly.

What is especially dangerous about this illegal alien invasion is the number of military operatives from China, Iran, and other nations that hate Americans and want the United States gone.

On a global, national, state, and country level, there are a whole host of measures on multiple levels and in thousands of areas that will have to be taken to recapture this nation from the invaders and the traitors that have encouraged and enabled it.
